This is one from the back end of summer last year. Imogen had the idea of upgrading from her currently road bike to something a bit more flash. She had particular wants and needs from the bike so this one we had to pay attention to the details.
A bike fit was the first port of call to give us a better understanding of what was going to work. After some researching and plenty of test rides to secure the right level of performance and comfort, we landed on the Cinelli Veltrix, a stable for endurance road riding. With full Columbus Carbon Monocoque construction and a slightly higher stack, this would allow for high end performance and the knowledge you can fly down the roads for hours on end.
Once we had nailed the frameset, it was then down to the details. Shimano's new 105 mechanical 12 speeds groupset fitted the bill well for everything Imogen wanted so that was a no brainer. Next the wheels! Something affordable but still high performance which brought us to the Halo Evaura Disc with RD2 hubs. With 120 points of near instant engagement, it was a great choice for the build so it was as efficient as possible. To close up the build, we went with Genetic Components and white Pro bar tape as requested by Imogen to give it a nice finish.
We never get sick of seeing these frames getting built as they always end looking amazing! Thanks Imogen!
